Mobile Ultrasound
Do I need a doctor’s referral?

You will need a doctor’s referral for all targeted diagnostic ultrasounds. However, our whole-body preventive Assessment (Prevention & Longevity) does not require a referral, as it is a specialized assessment overseen by our own medical experts.

Can I get an ultrasound without a prescription?

Only our whole-body ultrasound does not require a referral. For the rest, your physician must give you a prescription for a diagnostic scan and a radiologist-signed report is sent directly to them.

Can I cancel my appointment after booking?

Yes. You may cancel your appointment, but refunds depend on the timing of your cancellation:
– More than 72 hours before the exam: 50% refund of the amount paid.
– Less than 72 hours before the exam: no refund is issued.
This policy ensures that we can efficiently manage our mobile service schedule and offer access to other patients.

Can I reschedule my appointment?

Yes, under the following conditions:
– You may reschedule your appointment once, provided it is more than 72 hours before the exam.
– Rescheduling is not allowed within 72 hours of the appointment.

What if I paid using Affirm or a payment plan?

– If you selected Affirm, a small non-refundable deposit was required at booking.
– Full payment through Affirm must be completed at least 72 hours before the appointment.
– If the appointment is within 72 hours, full payment must be made within 4 hours of booking.
– If payment is not received in time:
  – The appointment will be automatically cancelled.
  – The deposit is non-refundable.

What if I book using AFFIRM outside business hours (evenings/weekends)?

Your time slot will be temporarily held, but:
– If payment is not received within the deadline (4–72 hours),
– The appointment will be manually cancelled by our team when we return, with no guarantee of rebooking the same slot.

How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

– Log in to your patient portal using the link in your confirmation email.
– You can cancel or modify your appointment according to the policy.
– For assistance: support@echo2go.ca

What happens if I don’t show up to my appointment?

Is your service available for kids?

Absolutely.

What is the whole-body preventive assessment?

It is a proprietary, head-to-toe assessment evaluating over 60 structures (organs, glands, and vessels). It is designed for early detection in asymptomatic individuals or those with family histories of disease.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book directly through our website in under 2 minutes. Choose your scan, time, and location — we handle the rest. If you need assistance to book, you can call us directly!

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

You will need a doctor’s referral for all targeted diagnostic ultrasounds. However, our Whole-Body Ultrasound Assessment (Prevention & Longevity) does not require a referral, as it is a specialized assessment overseen by our own medical experts.

Can this scan find cancer?

The short answer is yes. Ultrasound is highly effective at detecting solid tumors, cysts, and masses in major organs at early stages. While it is a powerful tool for proactive health, it is intended to complement, not replace, traditional screenings like colonoscopies or mammograms.

How does this compare to a whole-body MRI?

Both are radiation-free. While MRI excels at imaging the brain and spine, Ultrasound is superior for “dynamic” imaging (viewing blood flow real-time). Many patients have a hard time tolerating the very restricted space and the noise during MRI. Echo2Go is also much more affordable and offers the convenience of a mobile service that comes to your door.

Is it covered by insurance?
It can be. If ordered by a doctor, your ultrasound can be covered by your insurance plan. It can also be claimed in your tax filing as a health expense. Consult your insurer or accountant.
Areas of operation

We currently serve the Greater Montreal Area including Laval, Longueuil, South Shore, West Island. Before booking, it is mandatory that you verify your postal code eligibility using our dedicated tool on the main page.

If you’re unsure whether you’re in our zone, contact us by phone or email — we may still be able to come.

What about privacy and safety?
All exams are done in the private environment of our ultrasound trucks equipped with all the necessary diagnostic and disinfection machines
Is mobile ultrasound safe?
Absolutely. Ultrasound uses sound waves — no radiation — making it one of the safest imaging tools available. It’s safe for all ages, including during pregnancy.
Is your equipment hospital-grade?

Yes. We use state-of-the-art, FDA- and Health Canada-approved diagnostic ultrasound machines, the same technology trusted in leading hospitals and clinics.

Who will perform my exam?

Trusted professionals. All scans are performed by board-certified radiologists or OTIMROEPMQ-certified technicians supervised by radiologists. All images are reviewed and reports issued by certified radiologists.

Do I need to provide a parking space?

Yes. As a mobile service, we require a safe, flat space to park our specialized vehicle (such as a driveway or accessible street parking) at your location.

Will the truck be moving during my exam?

No. The vehicle remains fully stationary and safely parked for the entire duration of your visit.

Is the service discreet?

Absolutely. Our vehicles are premium, black, and unmarked with no exterior logos. Our staff is trained to provide a professional and private experience at your home or office.

Do I need to undress for the scan?

You will need to provide access to the skin of the areas being scanned. We provide medical gowns and ensure your comfort within our climate-controlled, private mobile clinic.

Will there be any signage or logos on your vehicle?

No. Our visits are fully discreet — our vehicles are black, unmarked, and our staff is trained for discretion.

Is there a bathroom in the truck?

Yes, a bathroom is available onboard, however it is reserved to be used during specific exams only.

Is the truck heated/ventilated?

Yes absolutely. You will be comfortable in all seasons.

When will I get my results?

You will typically receive your report within 72 hours. For Whole-Body assessments, a detailed color-coded report is usually uploaded to your portal within 3 business days.

What happens if you find something concerning?

If a critical finding is identified, you will be informed immediately. We will provide a direct referral to our network of collaborating hospitals and specialists to ensure you receive follow-up care without delay.

Does Echo2Go report to DSQ (dossier sante Quebec) and is it covered by RAMQ?

No. Echo2Go is a private, non-insured service. We do not bill RAMQ and our reports are not uploaded on DSQ for now. However, our services are often covered by many private insurance plans or can be claimed as a tax-deductible medical expense (depending on your policy).

When will I get results?

You’ll get results within 72 hours. If a physician requested the scan, we’ll send results directly to their office first. The results will then also be added to your Echo2Go portal a few days later to allow your doctor to consult them first, as required by law.

What if I need further investigation?

Some diagnostic situations may benefit from in-hospital tests or other diagnostic imagery. If so, we recommend and assist your referral—some tests or follow-ups can be done at our partners radiology center, Radiomedic.

Do you contact my doctor directly?

If you were referred by a physician (the case for all diagnostic ultrasounds), yes — they will receive your report first. Otherwise, you’ll receive it first and can choose how to proceed.
